Bio
Born and raised in Walsenburg.  College educated in Elementary Education.  Attended Colorado State College in Greeley in 1960-1964.  Married John M. Sheldon, 2 sons, Michael and William.  Career includes newspaper publishing/editing for 25 years, served as National President of Parenting Publications of America and on the Governor’s Task Force on Early Childhood Education for 5 years.  Locally involved in Economic Development, Tourism/Marketing with the Chamber of Commerce, Huerfano County Historical Society President, 1996-1999, Vice President of Huerfano County Hospital District Board of Trustees, 2002-2005, Advisory Board for Trinidad State Jr. College, 2001-2003. Action 22 Board of Directors 2001 to 2005.  Elected as Mayor in November of 2005 for 2-year term. Serve as member of South Central Council of Governments board vice president
